Usually a restaurant will have maybe one or two intriguing options. I'm seldom tempted to go back more than once. Revolutionary Soup on the other hand has so many interesting choices, I think I could probably go there for lunch every day of the week and never get bored. We had three soups: lamb curry, crab pepper jack bisque, and pesole chili. All were fantastic and made me wish I was in Charlottesville more often...
Great lunch spot. Food is always good - especially the soups & quesadillas.
Food was good. Everyone in my lunch party enjoyed their food, and we all ordered different things. Ambiance and location is fun. Work staff were great and the service was fast even when busy. Four stars because the food was good, but not necessarily a place where the food was something I was eagerly excited to tell my neighbors about.
Rev Soup is a Cville icon. We had them cater our wedding last fall, which was brilliantly done (our friends still bring up "that soup at your wedding"). We go to Rev Soup frequently, and it's consistently delicious, even as their menu has changed over time. They have a lot of local ingredients and their menu reflects some seasonality, which is cool. If you've never had the Spicy Peanut Tofu soup, your life is incomplete.
Stopped by after the Virginia Film Festival. We shared Tomato Basil Bisque and Chicken & Andouille Sausage Soup.. Both Yummy!! Thanks.
This place is a classic. Everything is delicious. You kinda can't go wrong. Last time we were there we had the potato bacon soup and it was amazing.
Amazing soup and sandwiches I got the chicken tortilla soup out of this world good
Great food and friendly staff, always enjoy Rev Soup’s offerings
Revolutionary soup has something for everyone. Amazing spread of delicious soups (some gluten free), wraps, sandwiches and salad. Lots of wine as well. It's great that they also serve mostly (if not all) local food. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere good.
This place is great. The food was absolutely delicious. Got potato soup and a kickin chicken sandwich. The soup was super yummy with a real potato flavor. The bacon on top vwry crispy. The sandwich stole the show. Peppers especially yummy. Cashiers were friendly. Vwry affordable. You can tell they are definitely busy so wouldn't come if in a rush. Also tables a little dirty but that doesn't bother me.
They definitely know how to run a restaurant cause it's very fast even when it's packed and employees are kind and helpful. Buddha bowl is good, lots of fresh arugula, curried lamb soup is amazing and the apple butter and goat cheese sandwich is so goooood. Even brownies are great. Definitely a good bet if you're short on time but want to eat quality food.
Jared, John and Andrew- handled our employee luncheon. The FOOD was amazing! So much flavor, sandwiches were huge! Everyone was pleased, and we even had brownies and chocolates chips cookies. During this pandemic, Revolutionary Soup made sure we were taking care of. #supportsmallbusiness #soup#sandwich#goodfood
